Business Cards with a little help from our friends

It is  time, if not already late, that we have to design and print our business cards.

I personally find the process boring although the visuals of the card designs can be really interesting.

There is a question though that can never be answered upfront reliably: will the people that we hand over our cards find them appealing?  How can we know before committing to a large print batch?

One might argue that it is not terribly important  and that the cards can be changed anytime.

Maybe.

But the issue at play is to listen and learn from what people think about you and what represents you.

So we came up with this idea: Why not show to you all, what we have prepared so far, and you tell us, by liking or commenting, which one you like the most?

But, hey, we are asking a favor here. We should make it a bit worth while taking the pain, shouldn’t we?  For this reason we ‘hired’ some famous travelers and explorers, we gave them business roles, prepared a card for each one of them and set the card to a proper background.

Here they are! What do you think?

I like the James Cook one. I think that the *info* there is more clear.

James Cook is my choice, clean and clear.

They all look nice, don’t forget to print them out first to check their readability! Its a common mistake.

Herbert and I saw these. Herb goes for the James Cook one. He thinks it is simple and not overloaded. I go for the Roald Amundsen. I think it is the most balanced in terms of colour and composition. The relief writing makes the logo more elegant and all the useful info is in the same colour and without symbols (we can all distinguish an e-mail without help) which makes it easier to read.
    Good luck!
